High Anxiety: CBD Oil

I'm sure most of you've smoked pot. Weed, marijuana, ganja, dro, dank, potato, potato. Call it what you want, you've either smoked the plant, tried it in some form, or heard of it. No surprises in our post-modern world. Getting high is a debatable topic on itself, but there's another substance extracted from hemp called Cannabidiol or CBD for short.

THC alone has many medical benefits in treating conditions like appetite loss, chronic pain, and other serious medical conditions. CBD on the other hand, essentially counteracts the high you receive from smoking or ingesting high amounts of THC. Now you're probably thinking, why would I want to kill my high? Well, for one, there's a possibility of getting uncontrollably high, which CBD can help with, but there are some surprising medical benefits to CBD alone.

Although THC does help with anxiety, it effects every individual differently. For more chronic anxieties like anxiety disorders, CBD can help to reduce the symptoms of the following:
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Panic disorder
  • Social Anxiety Disorder
  • Post-Traumatic Disorder
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Depression
For months now I've been struggling with many of these anxieties as a result of not smoking flower. I'm 23 years old and have smoked weed almost daily since I was sixteen. I often smoked away my troubles and avoided conflict in my life. 

Life can be extremely difficult if you suffer from anxiety on the daily. For me, anxiety gets in the way of my relationships, creating new relationships, and keeping a steady routine. I've been losing sleep, not eating, or over-eating. Imagine not ever being able to relax, even if you're laying down or about to go sleep. And when you do sleep, you wake up feeling exactly how you did the day before. It's a nightmare. 

Overtime, I noticed there was something extremely wrong with my body. My muscles were tense, my body and face tingles when I try to sleep, and I needed to find a way to calm me down. I've tried everything to keep my mind busy but the last thing I wanted was to be put on medication. 

With dispensaries or clinics being legalized, I started to treat my anxiety with CBD oil. I'm on my second week of dosing and have to say that it works substantially. 

For those of you who suffer from anxiety and aren't too fond of regular prescribed medicine, I highly recommend this as a safe and healthy alternative. Medications often numb you and make you feel emotionless. Don't forget we have feelings and it's normal to be able to feel. CBD can help you better your situation and give you some control over your symptoms! Do some research!
